DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. At this 13-week, video-based support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making.
We meet weekly on Mondays, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Each week we will start with 15 to 25 minutes of connecting and sharing about our week, as well as any insights we gained from our personal study. We will then watch a 30-minute video and use the remainder of our time for discussion and wrap up our group time with prayer. Although we highly encourage group members to participate in discussions, all participation is voluntary, and no one will ever be put on the spot or singled-out.
Each of the 13 weeks is a stand-alone session, so you can jump in and join our group at any time. Once you are registered you will be provided with online access to the group videos and other helpful content, so you can catch up if you miss a week, or go deeper in your personal study between group meetings. Each group member is required to have their own participant workbook. We will have workbooks available, on site for you to purchase for $20. If you are unable to afford a workbook due to financial hardship, please let us know and we can provide assistance. We do not want finances to hinder anyone from getting the help and support they need.
We are not able o offer childcare at this time, but our plan is to offer DivorceCare for kids in the near future. We will let people know as soon as this resource is p and running.
If a meeting needs to be canceled, due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, group members will be notified ASAP, via email and text.
Group members are welcome to call or text Isaac and Leah, the group leaders, anytime between group meetings, to ask questions or get extra counsel or support if needed.
We look forward to meeting you and helping you on your journey to healing and wholeness. If you have any questions or need additional information, please call or text Isaac Johnson at 907-351-8421. You can also email him at yakimamft@gmail.com.
