Empower Lay Leadership
DivorceCare equips lay teams to lead effective, ongoing divorce recovery ministries. We provide training videos, a Leader's Guide, regional training and Internet-based tools to support your leaders.
Reduce Counseling Load
Pastors tell us the ability to direct a person going through divorce to an ongoing support group has helped lighten their counseling load. Weekly DivorceCare groups provide participants with valuable information about biblical recovery and provide a structured environment to talk about the issues they are facing as they deal with the pain of separation and divorce.
Encourage Reconciliation
While DivorceCare is indeed a divorce recovery program, there is a heavy emphasis on forgiveness and reconciliation. We often hear reports of families that have been restored because of this emphasis!
Enable Outreach into Your Community
A person hurting because of divorce or separation is often more likely to turn to a church now than at any other point as an adult. Many churches report that up to 90% of their DivorceCare participants are from outside their congregation and at least half do not know Christ! DivorceCare points group members to Jesus Christ as the foundation for healing from the hurt of divorce.
